Chair arrived and appeared fine but when sat in it began to tip over. Closer examination revealed a bolt connection had been missed during factory assembly. When I fixed same chair is now useable b ut does not sit squarely on ground (something must have bent slightly when it started to collapse). LaFuma's only suggstions were 1. Return it to Amazon. Since I had already thrown away the shipping materials and this was an oversized item that was not a viable option. Or, 2.open a warranty claim with LaFuma, which would entail a fee payment. Also not a good option. So I'll have to settle for an unsteady $150 chair. Buyer beware.

I bought this chair because of a back injury - compression fractures of two lumbar vertebra - that left me with several damaged disks. Sitting in most chairs is quite painful. This chair is very comfortable, although not entirely painless for me, that is, the idea that it takes all the pressure off your spine is not quite true, at least in my case. But it is much more comfortable for me than most chairs. It seems well built and the price makes it certainly worth trying. I would recommend the chair for those with a more normal level of lower back problems or even for someone with no back problems at all - it is quite comfortable!
