since the set is 3 handy sizes for adding measured amounts of liquids, I had expected the volume would be on each ladle the way any set of measuring cups is marked. These are not labeled in any way. If you remember the three sizes they come in (can you right now without looking back up?) then you can tell which one is which, but I don't see why I should have to memorize the size of ladles. However the welding of the ladles seems fine to me, so I guess I got a better set than another reviewer.

These are so cute and useful. The largest one probably isn't more than 3 tablespoonfuls, and the sizes graduate down from there. But they're perfect for certain kitchen tasks that the bigger ladles aren't right for. For one thing, they're small, obviously, and most ladles are big, for dipping soups, etc. For another thing, the handles are at a 90 degree angle from the ladles so you can get right down into small containers and bring the liquid straight out - not possible with the typically slanted handle on larger ladles. Perfect and well-priced.

At the point where the handle and the scoop joins is a blotch of solder. I've seen other ways that two metal objects can be held together. The solder point is where food/liquids will surely come into contact. I was disappointed to see this; in my mind, solder does not equate with stainless steel. This item was sent back.
